Alternative pop, with influences from jazz and chanson. The songs of the Swiss singer/songwriter with South African roots deal with paradox: action and hesitation, courage and fear, certainty and doubt - and explore the contradictions and follies of the human experience. Influenced by the irony and wit of Jane Austen as well as the depth and honesty of Joni Mitchell, Erika Spencer creates space for theatricality and drama.

In autumn 2022, she played a tour in different parts of Switzerland, together with guitarist Adrian Bissegger; the next adventure will be the production of her debut album.

Die Songs der Schweizer Singer/Songwriterin mit südafrikanischen Wurzeln befassen sich mit den Spannungsfeldern von Handeln und Zögern, Mut und Angst, Sicherheit und Zweifel – und werfen dabei einen Blick auf die Widersprüche und Verrücktheiten der menschlichen Erfahrung. Geprägt von der Ironie und dem Witz von Jane Austen, sowie dem Tiefgang und der Ehrlichkeit von Joni Mitchell, schafft Erika Spencer in ihren Songs Raum für das Theatralische und Dramatische.
